really though, reversing it sucked.
it did help the pace within the first few holes since switching the 9s meant the second hole was no longer a par 3. groups didnt back up quite as much. but the west 9 has a great few finishing holes and is as impressive and tough a last few holes as anywhere ive played. playing off a launching pad on 16 to going over water on the approach, having a long uphill 17th that always seems to be into the wind, and then a double doglegging long par 5 to finish it off. thats how the course should finish. that course's layout is very good. if it were anywhere else in the country, a place where well conditioned golf courses could exist and sustain, that course would be a regional destination for golf lovers. |

and many rounds played, I can probably count the number of times on one hand that I actually hit and stayed on what was then the 9th green (I guess it is 18
right now). That little ass green with the bunkers and the ditch/part of the lake in the back, was always harder than any of the other hard ass greens out
there.

I finally got the point where I never went toward that green. I got my number (yardage), took one less club and hit it dead at that bunker on the right. With
a little baby draw it would sometimes roll onto the green or at least a had a look at an up and down for par. Otherwise...it could be a big number.

Saw this in BadDawgs today:
Saturday, April 19 • 3:45 p.m. Visitor was hit in the head with a golf ball at the MSU golf course. Paramedics and MSU Police responded and subject was transported to his residence by a friend. and since i have already made it sports related there was also this gem on the same day. idiot. • 2:46 a.m. MSU Police Department officer reported a student took chewing gum out of his mouth and put it in the trunk of his patrol vehicle while parked at the Burger King parking lot.

I have seen it done before on what was the 2nd hole when I was in school. One of my roommates hit into the group ahead of us which happened to include my other roommate, whom was hit on top of the head. He somehow managed to get up and beat the crap out of him.. Funniest shit I have ever seen...
We were completely outplayed, outcoached, outhustled by a team with less talent that had already played 45 minutes of basketball just 8 hours earlier.
