Watching some of the vids in the hit thread has me thinking.... |

I cannot believe that I ever, ever, ever complained about Wayne Madkin.

I always have to defend Madkin | #21

Too many of my friends only know about him from his senior year and think he was trash the whole time. He was the best quarterback I've ever seen at
State. He might not have been "great," but with our history at the position he was amazing. I long for the days of Madkin's first three years.
Good times.

Fant also had a drinking problem. | #22

I know, everybody drinks in college but I would see Fant in the Hunt Club by himself so trashed he couldn't sit up. This was during the season. Of course
he could have been drinking because we sucked.

His senior year, he did what he needed to do most of the time. | #23

The problem was his receivers looked epileptic when trying to catch the ball. For whatever reason they caught passes from Fant.

Can't believe what I'm reading . . . Fant the best QB at MSU??? Bad line or no, he played lots of snaps to make very, very few plays of any impact.
Stats certainly had nothing to do w/ wins and losses, they were just that . . . stats
