Make sure to watch the replay at the end. Hard to believe he can still walk.
Oh summer time.

There is no 2nd place.
Greg Byrne is the Stan Jones of athletic directors.

Croomp wrote:Norwood got clocked good against LSU in Starkville. One guy's helment his Norwood's helmet, causing Norwood's helmet to hit another LSU guy. And its that 2nd LSU guy's mouthpiece that flew up 15 feet in the air. Pretty sure Ethan Flatt's number is still imprinted on Scott Field. Mike Wallace got drilled good there too. I remember Keo Coleman giving an Ole Miss QB a concussion. |

Yea thats exactly the one. My stomach sunk after that. It got dead quiet after Norwood looked paralyzed out there. We definitely need that video but it's
nowhere unless slickdawg has it in the archives

If I'm not mistaken that hit ended Luke's career. | #9

I think he still had another year of eligibility, but was just a student assistant or something.

Most of Ashley Coopers hits..plus Justin Griffith broke his helmet on somebody when playing fullback. It was like a sweep to the right or something. Can't
remember what game specifically but ESPN replayed it a few times.

Ashley Cooper on Tim Couch was sick** | #14

I support the two most frustrating teams in America: The New Orleans Saints and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Brown hit Couch | #15 | ||

It was Eric Brown on Tim Couch in 97, and Cooper on Dusty Bonner in 99. But let's not let facts get in way of good story

before berating anyone about anything.
Second, reserve the "lets not let facts get in the way" for when you are in an actual argument. |

How about Titus Brown and a Smoot bonus | #17

Titus Brown putting John Parker Wilson in the turf
And Fred Smoot putting down T.O. (Sorry he's not playing for MSU in this one but it was too good to pass) |

Lot of missed opportunities on this play | #19

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ere9cOf9ew&feature=related
That being said, I think had either this happened ten years later, or had Korey Banks and Antonio Hargro been on the 1991 team, Wilburn Sudduth would have gotten !+$%%! up. Edit: Damnit, I can't embed youtube vids.

There is no other one that comes close.. | #20

One of my favorites was the first play of the Cotton Bowl when Ed Smith smashed Ricky Williams in the back field for a loss. We all know what happened
immidiately after that though.
Thank you, Mr. Greg Byrne.
