I will never forget playing the Pirates in baseball. We only played them a few times but this thread sheds a lot of light on the experience. One game in Starkville, they stood on the first step of Starkville's dugouts, in their vomit colored uniforms, and yelled obscenities that would make Tanner Boyle proud. A year or so later, we met again and a fight nearly broke out after their base runner ran at least a yard to the inside of the base line and over me at 1st in an attempt to shield a throw to 1st on a SAC bunt.

18 years later, a redneck I cross paths with often wears Bama garb every day....seemingly. So, I finally ask him about it as that is rare in R-kansas. Long story short......he is from Pearl, MS.

On Flick, I liked him. I liked the uniqueness of his voice. You go to Bama, AU, OM, wherever all the PA guys sound the same. I thought he did a good job of giving information too. As for the scores from around the nation, I doubt it was Flick's fault those were hours old.
