Seriously though, this is what happens when Ole Miss law school grads run our state. Those program duplication eliminations that pervaded the 80s and 90s were beyond stupid. If my kid was a pre-law major at USM, do you seriously think I'd send him to the Ole Miss law school?? Hell no! He'd go out of state on my dime. If he was pre-med, I'd send him to USA or Tulane. Anybody else understand what I'm saying here?
Tulane is filling a niche that our legislators created. More power to them. It's a shame our leaders don't let our school programs grow. Who cares about duplication! Students want more choices and our legislature can't dictate where they have to go. Is State really threatened by Ole Miss's engineering school, or does it succeed on its own merits?
