This scenario has David Fair syndrome written all over it. What a shame and waste.

A couple days ago in chat people asked who would get hurt this game. People said Dixon. I said Elliot with an ACL just kind of thinking of the worst thing that
could happen. Of course.

it had nothing to do with the arm other than that was what impeded his foot from leaving the ground, thus hyperextending his knee. I called a torn ACL right
after watching the replay. its all about the mechanism.

Yes. I am confirming. | #7

I have a gut feeling he will never play again. that damn knee was sidewise and never moved as they were carrying him off the field. Just Damn Ugly and makes
me sick to my stomach. and I hope Rusty Linton isn't the surgeon too.

he redshirted last year. don't know how much you can or can't play for a medical redshirt. Seems that rule changes every year.

he did not appear to have an MCL and/or meniscus injury (though ruling out the meniscus injury is hard to do in a simple hyperextension case like
elliot's)...MRI will tell more, so an ACL reconstruction with a portion of his own patellar tendon can be done within 2-3 weeks, after his swelling
subsides. Pretty simple procedure for a fellowship trained ortho sports surgeon. Assisted on 5 last week on a couple of athletes with a guy who operates on
college and pro athletes all the time.

What is it with the injuries? seriously? Look at last year and now this year. Has anyone had any luck similiar to what MSU has had these past 2 years with
freakin injuries? Damn! It's a never ending freaking cycle of shitty luck and stupidity with this team. Never ending! Clark Griswald would look
freaking look like a lucky guy next to this screwed up organization. How much shit can go wrong?

you are much better at calling complex injuries than picking the winners against the spread.

well I guess my years of post college education/training have paid off. it is what i get paid to do. and for the record, to a well trained eye, how the injury
happened can oftentimes give you a diagnosis. he may or may not have torn his ACL, but they way the injury occurred certainly makes it plausible.
as for picking against the spread. i was 15/18 last week in the yahoo pick'em and 49/74 on the year in top 25 games. you can't win them all. yesterday was a pretty bad day but still 8/15 overall.

MState players have the weakest ACL's in the nation.... | #17

...and the better the player, the weaker the ACL. Elliot should've gone to Ole Miss...he'd probably still be healthy.

He's past the point for a medical redshirt for this season. | #18

If by chance it's bad enough to miss next year, he could get one for that year.
Best of luck to him. |

That sucks for him. He is considered our hardest working back and right when he is starting to contribute on offense he gets hurt. Off topic but does anyone else besides me think he scores on that ball that Ducre dropped. |

So it's possible he won't get up and do a dance rockin dat numba 2 after scoring to cut a 38-0 game to 38-7?
