Posts: 62 05/16/08 04:11 PM	Tags : None I played middle school and Jr. Varsity Quarterback, but I don't have a clue about mechanics and all that jazz. All I did was hand off and throw to the tight end once every couple of games. I do know it's good to be calm in the pocket and have your head down field making checks. That being said, Russell seems to be able to do those things while having a VERY strong, accurate arm. If you go watch, keep your eye on one pass about 50 yards down field that the WR drops, but it was a go pattern, and it was on the money. From watching the video, it seems as though we have a pretty good QB on our hands with a little coaching. Just thought I'd let you know.

We've had several in the past ten years that looked like can't miss prospects. But Moore made some throws in that video that we haven't had anyone capable in a long time. I hope he keeps his commitment.

MS 5A football looks good. I was impressed with the way the linemen were holding blocks and the routes ran. Back in the day, when my high school played (4A...nearly 20 years ago). It was take the snap, start running backwards to ellude the jail break, then heave it as far as you could in hopes your one receiver ran under it.

Favre was instrumental in assuring the field at OG was completed as planned and without delay, and you are also correct that he made a very generous donation for the weight room. However, his donations to USM Athletics have been constant and consistent and make his Oak Grove donations appear small. The rumors you appear to have heard are related to the fact that he made a big donation at a critical time to Oak Grove instead of adhering to his pledge, while staying "on schedule" with his USM pledge in spite of a plea to speed up that pledge. Blood is thicker than water. His daughter was at OG at the time.
