I support the two most frustrating teams in America: The New Orleans Saints and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

I'm still pissed we took a 17ing RB in the first round, passing EVERY WR on the board, and not getting any outside help for VY. Dumbest. GM. EVER.
---------- Cry Havoc, and Let Slip the Dogs of War! ---------- "I won't be sippin' much happy kool-aid from my fools gold holy grail cup till I see a consistant offense on the field against our higher rated SEC bretheren. If McCorvey keeps offense ranked anywhere close to 100th this season I want to see mayflower trucks in his yard gettin er done. " - jackbaddawg, 8/8/08 ---------- "It's like Peaches and JR hooked up 18 years ago and out popped Fishwater." - Afro Dawg, 6/26/08 ---------- "This effort yesterday (Carroll: 421 yds, 4 TDs, 4 Int; 31 offensive points) proves that we can throw the ball with some success. The three yard and a cloud of dust offense, where the only passes we'll attempt are FB flares and short curls needs to stop. It became apparent to me yesterday by watching Carroll throw the ball around that we are the worst offensive team in the conference because Croom has chosen for us to be, not because we don't have enough talent to be good offensively." |

Wouldn't have had anything to do with a shitty class of WRs? | #2 | ||

Would it?

Has to do with our asshat GM. VY was openly lobbying for Limas Sweed. And we've taken a RB with our first pick each of the last 2 drafts, now 3. It's
as bad as Detroit with their WR picks. Sweed or DeSean Jackson would have been an upgrade over what we have on the roster currently. When your supposed
franchise QB is publicly begging the front office to give him some WR help, you damn well better listen. The ONLY thing he could do to make me think he's
not the dumbest GM in the league is to find a way to pull off the Chad Johnson trade with Cincy.

you don't take a guy at 24 who ends up going in the 50s (Sweed).. you just don't. Other than maybe the kid from Houston, there weren't any WRs
prospects who have the playmaking ability to warrant a 1st round selection. Sweed was an excellent college player but he doesn't have the big play ability
to warrant taking in the 1st round. Jackson has the speed but he's frail and he'll have problems getting off the line and into his routes. Again, not
worth a 1st round pick. The kid from ECU may be a RB but he's a gamebreaker. You can put him in the slot or you can bring him out of the backfield and get
plays in the passing game outta him. He can also return kicks. Tennessee did need a WR but it's just their bad luck that there weren't any who
warranted a 1st round selection.
