shittiest- every time Crooms won a game, because you could see he didnt belong as an SEC HC and each win could prolong his tenure

I don't think there's ever a time to feel good about losing | #4
|
You play to win, not just show up. Hell, anyone can show up. The fans show up. I honestly don't feel good after we lose, ever. That's why I think the
losing could be good for us in the long run/ moral victory stuff is BS. Yeah, maybe you learn some lessons that will help down the road, but you don't have
to play perfectly to win. You can win and learn lessons to.
Worst I felt after a win- After we "beat" Troy 11-8. I mean, seriously. And then we get our QB hurt to finish the game off for no apparent reason. I still don't understand why he didn't just have Fant take a knee, it would have accomplished the same thing as a sneak/QB draw or whatever was called and would have been a lot safer as far as the getting the QB hurt and a lot less risky in terms of turning the ball over. "Because just being good kids who make good grades isn't good enough anymore."- John Cohen
"This league doesn't care how hard you try. This league cares about having real players who can perform certain skills. If you try to throw a fastball in and you miss the middle of the plate, the league doesn't care that you're a really good kid. The game says you better execute the pitch." - John Cohen |

Arkansas made me feel that we might have six more years or Croom, but he punched out about two minutes into the Egg Bowl, so I felt great at the end of that
one.

2002 win over Troy.
2004 loss to UABlah- The Maine loss made me not want to go to any other game that season, but I skipped my ten year high school class reunion to take a gal to this game because she had friends coming in town. It was a shitastic day with J-Rock running wild, yet we still lost in embarrassing fashion on homecoming. However, the hours of meaningless sex later made up for the miserable M-State game day experience.

I felt Best after the Loss in the '98 SEC Championship | #9
|
Obviously, immediately after the game I was disappointed, but the following hours, days, weeks, and years I have become more proud. We had a great chance at
winning that game, and Tennessee went on to win the National Championship. Even when Peerless Price caught that game winning touchdown I thought there
wasn't any more we could have done on that play. We defended it great but it was just a perfect toss and catch. That is if memory serves me correctly.... I
was about 14 or so. My celebration after Kevin Prentis' return was only trumped by pseudo-homo reaction of random hugs and high fives after Anthony Johnson
pick 6.
The subsequent Cotton bowl was a Ricky Williams style debacle.

easy....15-14 loss to stewart patridge in 95 (i think) | #10
|
i remember they scored the opening drive.....i thought they were going to route us....they didnt make it past midfield the rest of the game until the final
drive....when they scored the td and we were up 14-13...i knew they were going to go for 2 and get it.....I walked out of the stadium, left my UM girlfriend in
the student section with my frat bros, and as I walked behing the jumbotron i saw the umiss section roar.....and I cried like a 3 year old.....seriously, one
of the top 5 worst moments of my life....and later in life, stewart patridge and myself have become friends....
"Ill tell you what's hurting MSU- is the loser mentality of fans who think that a player will do better if you "tell him he is good".
What's hurting MSU is the loser mentality of fans who feel the urge to e-mail Cohen for yellling at a player, even though they have no clue why Cohen is
yelling at the player. It couldn't possibly be because the guy screwed up. I mean, the guy did read Polk's book. It's just the damn loser mentality
period. If you want championships, you have to work hard and you have to have talent. None of this other bullshit. Peace.". Todd4State. sixpackmafia -

'99 Egg Bowl. These Rebel fans were in on our turf, an MSU section of the stadium raising hell, etc. We hollered back when the game turned our way.
I think one of them got nervous. He was wearing an FBI hat which he then took off and pointed in my direction. So I took off my State hat and pointed that at him. He laughed hard and it broke the ice. |

Best after loss: Alabama '94; worst after win: Fla. 92 | #17
|
It seemed like after the UA loss in 94, a game in which Scott Field was rockin' and we had their ass-MSU was gaining national prominence. Plus, we got
17'd up before during and afterwards. Win vs. FL in 92 was tainted by Sleepy's injury. I remember how exciting that win was, but how forebodingly we
looked ahead to the rest of the season knowing 15 was out.

Best after a loss? Last year's egg bowl. I knew the handwriting was on the wall.
Worst after a win? Tech win in the Tech and 10 season. Knew if we had to work that hard to beat them in the opener it was going to be bad. Didn't know it would be that bad.
