Winning State Tennis Championship in high school. Also kicked a 55 yard FG with Hurricane Andrew type winds behind me in football practice.
I support the two most frustrating teams in America: The New Orleans Saints and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

I beat the MS class C state champion in a tournament match. This was harder than you can imagine as he was a midget and could do things with the ball I could
only dream about.

Bob Uecker quotes about his baseball career. This had me rolling. My favorite is :"When I came up to bat with three men on
and two outs in the ninth, I looked in the other team's dugout and they were already in street clothes."

2 for 3 off Jeremy Jackson in the State Playoffs.... | #66

A tater and a 2B and the last hit was a screamer right back at him, self defense helped him make that out. Still lost both games and West Lauderdale went on to
win another championship.

in front of a home crowd at Yellowjacket Stadium to seal the deal vs. West Point my senior season. All Region 1-5A team two straight years. Of course, winning
the title in 2001 was great, but I didn't play much as a sophomore.

Ranked #2 in MS in tennis with dad at 3.5 doubles a couple years ago. Being ranked in the top 15 is MS as a junior player. Dunked on on Michael Myers in Vicksburg Summer league years ago, we played outside with those metal chain nets.. Touching the rim any day now. Birded #17 at Annandale off the island. Back to back MSU soccer intramural champs over the Asians. Scored from over half field over a little goalie..
MSU Basketball: No longer living and dying by the 3 ball.

little known fact....... | #72

when The Open is being played AND it is not at St. Andrews, then you don't have a lot of people putting in for the draw to play. Most people just go to
the damn Open. Me on the other hand, I put in for the draw for Friday morning and got drawn easily. There were actually open tee times. Then I went to The
Open for two days. I wish I hadn't killed so many brain cells in the evenings or otherwise I could give some better accounts of my time in Scotland.
moral of the story: have your handicap card ready, plan a trip to The Open when it isn't at St. Andrews and try to get on for two days and then go to the tournament for two days. good times. by the way, i now know that I can shoot 92 anywhere in the world. when i got back from the trip i promptly shot 92 at 17ing clear creek in vicksburg yet i had shot the same at St. Andrews literally 10 days prior with rented clubs.

Probably my actual best was fouling off a pitch from Van Johnson. | #76
|
Van then went from Saltillo to MSU and led the nation in saves his senior year I believe. He threw a 1 hitter against us and he didn't walk anyone. The
one hit was a chopper that didn't get out of the infield. My coach was trying to fire us up before the game talking about taking down a "big
dog". He made us look like crap. My other highlight was setting a record at my high school. I got HBP 3 times in one game, twice in the back and once
on the back of the helmet.
For intramural highlights, I got a shot line drive off my knee while pitching softball. We finished the game and had another directly after it. Somehow they talked me into pitching again with my knee double the size it was. I think it was about the 2nd inning when I got another line shot off my knee that was so hard, it went to the 3rd baseman who threw the guy out. I also had my shorts pulled down to the middle of my thigh in flag football, when I grabbed my shorts I threw the ball straight up and it landed about 5 yards in front of me. I guess the refs felt bad for me because they gave us the extra yardage. |

First birdie ever made-caromed off an oak tree about 100 feet off the green | #80
|
Summer of 1991-me and a buddy drinking beer and doing a little off roading on the old Co-Lin golf course...bladed a pw on old number 4...line drive shot right
at this huge ass oak about 30+yards to right of green...struck the oak square, bounded left onto green and rolled straight at the cup, stopping the length of
the putter blade short of an oak tree aided hole-in-one. As the old saying goes, "I couldn't have done that if I had tried to"
THAT is what drinking beer on the golf course will do for you |
