I would love to relive Anthony Johnson's pick 6 against Bama everyday for the rest of my life if I could. Everyone in the stands was going 17ing nuts and
the whiskey was flying. Never in my wildest dreams did I think something like that would happen for us, but seeing that it did and actually being there was top
notch

Being a fairly new State fan (since 2001 - when this downward spiral first began) I don't have a lot of great moments to choose from. So I'd have to
say AJ's pick 6 or Norwood's TD run against Florida.

Egg Bowl 99 | #24 | ||
|
My best friend and cousin were running down the road that used to be behind the east side of the stadium. They were drunk blasted out of their skulls hugging
all the girls that they saw. One jackass rebel said, "get the hell away from my daughter" The girl couldn't have been more then 15 years old. All
they were doing was hugging them though, no groping or kissing. Both my friend and my cousin kicked the guy straight between his ass cheeks, twice. His feet
literally lifted off the ground both times. they went hootin' and hollerin' on down the road and they guy stood there with his hands on his ass yelling
for them to come back. I guess he wanted more. Funniest thing I had ever seen.

That was a great moment in MSU football. I just don't like giving any credit where Croom was involv | #25

Croom detracts from ever great moment that happened between 2003 and 2008. I think our team would have done about the same and maybe slightly better without
Croom on the field during gameday. Another one of my favorite MSU football moments is when I found out Croom was gone. He was such an embarrassment in so many
ways.

Not one particular moment - but what I want to experience is 4th quarter confidence, 4th quarter nail-biters, and 4th quarter temper tantrums on the opposition's sidelines. |

Croomp wrote:That is absolutely the most apeshit I have ever seen a college football crowd at DWS or anywhere else. You couldn't possibly tell something to the person next to you it was so loud. People jumping up and down, arms flailing, stuff flying through the air. That pick 6 happened right before halftime and the crowd didn't settle down until well after the band took the field for halftime. I felt like I didn't catch my breath until the teams were back on the field again to start the 2nd half. |

But then Bond tried to fumble it right back to them when we were running out the clock. I'm still not sure Bama didn't recover that ball. |

I remember people pulling up end-zone grass and bushes on the sidelines, anything to take home a piece of that win. Hell of a day.

The 6-3 win against Bama in 1980 was our biggest ever. They were | #31
|
number 1 in the nation & were winning national championships pretty regular . There was more slobber-knocking in that game than I have seen in a long time.
John Bond was running the option & getting killed on almost every play but just got up & kept on going . Our defense was fantastic that day. I've
been an MSU fan longer than 87.13 % of most of you & that was and is our best win in history. That was a bigger shock to the Alabama fans than any losses
since then. Back then they really believed the Bear could walk on water & their shit did'nt stink. Since then they've all believed that the Bear
would re-incarnate & come back in another coach's body. That's why they tried the 3 Mikes. They finally figured out that if they came up with
enough money just in the " Nick " of time that he would come back down & give them another shot of the " Glory Days " .
You know that you have Alzheimers when you can't find the Easter eggs that YOU just hid !!!!

I am surprised noone has said anything about Auburn 99 | #32
|
That is the best away game I have ever been to. The Egg Bowl in 1998 was also good since MSU fans were about all that was left at the end. The Arkansas game
in 1998 which was the first goal post I ever tore down, Eggbowl 99 which is the 2nd, and Florida 00 were all great. The best bowl game has to go to the Snow
Bowl. Watching everyone walking around like they were about to bust their ass, it was a fun time.

Pick 6 against Bama | #36 | ||
|
I loved the eggbowl and went nuts with Norwood against FLA but, there has been no DWS atmosphere that compared to what happened throughout those beautiful 100+
yds. Due to the longevity of the play it just kept getting louder and crazier. I was soaked in Whiskey and other things and could not have been happier.

if that was the year that they hiked it over grossman's head like 3 times in a row, then took a safety because they had like 4th and 60. i was pretty
young, but i remember just watching the tv and laughing.
the next year they beat us by 60... |

I'd like to relive that game, but this time, I'd like to come away with all of my teeth intact. Ran out on the field after the game and some douche
fell off the goal post and kicked me in the head on the way down. Snapped my mouth shut and broke one of my lower incisors. Drinking beer is less fun with a
broken tooth.

+1 on Florida '92 | #39 | ||
Indndawg wrote: I was at that game and didn't have a voice until Wednesday or Thursday of the following week. I'll never forget bouncing dog biscuits off the FLA players helmets. And there was this one O-line guy who got some pissed at the student section and hurled his 8oz cup of Gatorade up into the stand. He ought not to've done that... Because 2k screaming bulldog students literally POURED their plastic cups full of jack'n'coke on his fool head... One of the coaches came over, grabbed him by the facemask, and pulled him to the other end of the sideline. Both player and coach were completely soaked. Anybody out there remember this? Can I get an Amen? My best memory of State (was there from '89-'95)... |

1935 vs. Army | #40 | ||
|
I wasn't there, but my grandfather, Pee Wee Armstrong, threw the winning touchdown pass to Fred Walters to beat national powerhouse, Army, in 1935. Growing
up, I heard many stories about the game, mostly from other people, as Pee Wee didn't talk much about his own accomplishments. He could have, as he lettered
in football, baseball and basketball, and is a member of the MSU and MS Sports Hall of Fame.
Anyway, I have many great memories of MSU sports, the 1999 Egg Bowl and Burke Masters' grand slam being the top two, but I would give up any of those memories to have been at the 1935 game against Army. |
