I'm a beer lover and love to try new beers and wear out the list at flying saucer's around the country. Always looking for new things to try.
Plus maybe this will provide a lively conversation in the lull of the summer

I always forget they brew that because I think it sucks.

Love some good Yuengling | #24

One of my friends got drunk and bought his own keg one night in college for a little over $200 but that was a good night

Lazy Magnolia's Indian Summer is pretty good in my opinion.*** | #28

Anyone know anything about the LM Jefferson Stout? | #29
|
There is a blurb about it on their website. Apparently its fairly new. I tend to like stouts, so I was curious.

For me, the draft southern pecan is much better than the bottled | #30
|
I like the bottled okay, the the SP on tap is special good.
I do know a few people that love it in the bottle. I haven't tried the other bottles yet. What Mississippi needs is more micro breweries. Nothing like having those sampls laid out in front of you. |

Here are some that I have had lately and liked. I'm in Houston so some may have never heard of these

Im the same way the Southern Pecan. Im very partial to tap beer anyway, though.. | #32
|
I will almost always pick something on tap over a beer that like better that is only available in a bottle.

Haven't tried Fireman's 4, but Real Ale Brewing makes some good stuff. Great Brown. | #33

I really wish we could get Yuengling in these parts.

Have you tried 1554 from New Belgium or 90 Schilling from Odell Brewing?
Wish we could get that good stuff here. |

I was about to buy the 1554 this past Saturday when I was in Knoxville... | #37
|
But I saw the Sweetwater and went with what I knew was good. I'm currently home in Alabama and can't wait for the good beers to start showing up.

I disagree. I didn't like the Southern Gold at all. Just didn't have the flavor the others do... | #38
|
I dont really like the Indian Summer either. It's the same wheat-beer Blue Moon taste, but it left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. But what about Par 3?? I think that was the first Lazy Magnolia beer I drank. I really liked it but I don't see it around anymore. |

You won't be disappointed if you try either of those. 1554 is a black ale. Very robust beer.

I like Saisons. Saison Dupont is the standard, but Avery makes a good one also.
Generally, I like the big Belgian Tripples and Quads ( not available in MS) I'm glad LM exsits and wish I could get in Houston. |
