Local Boy to face Manny tonight... |
Lead | ||
|
Former teammate and good friend of mine, Tim Dillard, will be taking the bump tonight against Manny during his triple A stint. Timis from North MS and he is
currently in the Brewers organization. First pitch will be at 8:05PM Central Time. Coverage will be on ESPN News. Should be fun to watch.

Maybe Tim can get called back up to the Brewers before to long. I hope he strikes Manny out everytime he faces him tonight. Go Tigers!!

his brother, Jeff Dillard briefly played at MSU under Pat McMahon.

Are hoping Tim gets traded pretty soon. He could be in several other big club's rotation or bullpens. He should have been called up a month ago when his
era was under 2 and record was 7-1, but it's a business. Todd....the baseball genes run deep in this family beyond Jeff and Tim. Their dad had a really
good pro career and other brother Andy was an all-american and GSC Player of the Year at Delta State.

I think Tim is with a decent organization, though. If Dave Bush keeps struggling, the Brewers could bring Dillard up. He will be back in the Big Leagues before
long- probably this year.

I remember all of them playing....all very good players. Tim lost | #5

an extra-inning playoff game(I think it was his senior year) to former Dog Brett Cleveland at Saltillo either 1-0 or 2-1 back 6-7 years ago. Tim pitched about
9 or 10 innings as did Cleveland. I think they combined to give up 5 or 6 hits and K'd about 40 that night.
Cleveland got the game-winning "hit" when he punched a fly ball out behind 2B, and 3 fielders didn't communicate and let it drop between them. |

<17> you mother<17>'s!!!!!
One of my favorite moments in MSU baseball history. A crappy Polk II team beats the "best team in Mississippi history" to win the SEC Tournament. "Because just being good kids who make good grades isn't good enough anymore."- John Cohen

Good night for Tim so far... | #10

No hitter into the 7th. He picked a good night to pitch well. I was a year younger than Tim at Saltillo. I live in St. Louis now, so I'm constantly
hoping Steve can get Tim traded to the Cardinals system since he coaches in their farm system now.

Lost it and gave up a couple of runs. Left with the lead, but | #11

the closer blew the save, and it wound up going 15 innings. Nashville won 8-3.
