Mizunos hand down... | #3
|
I tried some out about two weeks ago and loved them. Going to make the switch from my buryllium Ping Eye 2s to the mizunos in the fall because it is a big
adjustment I think.

I've have played with Ping's and Callaway's........ | #4

over the years but tried Wilson Staff Di-7 a couple of years ago and love them. The current model is Di-9 but Wilson Staff also offers other models too. I play
to a 7 handicap so scratch golfers might want one of the other models. Worth looking into.

My advice... | #5 | ||
|
Figure out how much you're willing to spend, and go get fitted. Hit 15-20 balls with each of those irons you've listed, preferably many more, without
looking at what brand they are, so that you won't have any brand bias in your head as you're going through the process. Figure out which ones feel the
best to you. Once you've narrowed it down, the fitter (if he's worth a shit) will adjust the length, type of shaft, and grip diameter to your personal
profile. If you just make a decision based on somebody saying "go buy the pings the corba's suck ass lol!!!!!11" you will be doing yourself an
injustice.
Thank this guy.

mizuno's are sooo good that they'll get stolen out of the back of your SUV .. | #6
|
mine got jacked .. then bought set of titlest cavity backed from my buddy for $50, and I like them even more. I can control them much better, both trajectory
and direction .. distance, though, now days, is the great mystery
I've played ALOT of golf .. maybe more than anyone on this board .. so give the Titleist a try |

Bridgestone J36 cb. They are forged by Endo
Mizuno cavities are nice too but the head weights are all over the place |

I also endorse the Mizunos, but I play Mizuno blades. Never hit the cavity backs so I can't say anything about them, but Mizuno makes good clubs for sure.
Props to DerHntr for the fark. |

Agreed... Go to a demo day or E. Watts.. | #9

Hit the clubs and then decide. It's like buying a car, you need a test drive to decide what you want.

anyone trust ebay for clubs? | #12
|
I am going to try out a couple, and ill add mizuno's to the mix but they are a little pricey. Anyone bought clubs off ebay? Better deals, just not sure
every one is the real thing.

I've bought several clubs off ebay but not whole sets. | #13

You best be sure that what you are buying is what fits you and its what you want. As long as you buy from a reputable buyer on ebay you have no problem.

I have bought 2 drivers, a 3 wood, 2 putters, and 3 wedges with no problem on ebay. Also about 10 tennis racquet's. No problem on any purchases.

Not a lick... Bought pops a "Callaway FTi" for Christmas 18 months ago.. | #15
|
Two months ago the face cracked. He sent it off to Callaway and they sent him a letter stating the head nor shaft was their product and that it was probably
made in China.
He went and bought one nearly identical and I swear I can't tell the difference. It cured me from ordering cheap clubs off ebay anymore. |

Go get fitted for the right club for YOU, otherwise, Ping | #16

has been making cavity backed irons since the 60's, everything else is trying to emulate Ping!

Bought my full set of Mizunos on ebay | #17
|
as long as you buy from a reputable dealer, you can get a great deal. I ended up saving about $350. Try Amazon as well. But definitely hit with Mizunos before
you buy. Not many can say bad things about them except for the fact that they tend to be a little pricey like you said.

Don't know about ya'll, but they'll have to pry my vintage Ping Eye 2+'s out of my cold dead hands.
