Turn the windows on the front of the M-club into sliding glass doors on club-level and have chairback seatin outside. This would also give us an actual tunnel to run out of. In addition, on the outside we could make an actual entrance to the stadium with brick facade/nice gates/etc., kind of like a smaller scale Bryant-Denny. Thoughts? ETA: I understand that this would pose problems for fans in the event that we tear down the old jumbotron, but hopefully we'll ust put a knew one in thta endzone.

There's a lot more room for expansion on that side, and the placement of the jumbo-mega-godzilla-tron seems to support this. Personally, I don't really care which end gets enclosed first. Posts: 2661 06/23/09 10:31 PM	Nice Idea.. I went and walked and the stadium the other day taking pictures to do this same kinda idea, but was going to do it with only bleachers. There seriously isn't much room, when you consider leaving the minimum 12-15' from the field there is room for bleachers but they could only be about 2/3 as big in width, though I would stretch them all the way across the endzone...and have an entrance for the teams much like you have. I think it would be a "cheap" upgrade that would really add a lot to the stadium atmosphere. One side effect problem of this would be the students separated..would you flip the whole student seating to the south end of the east side and move alumni to the north end? Doing so would require a lot of re-fencing area that are blocked off for student only. All in all, I would love to see something similar to this, more semi=permant..nice bleacher style like Texas just finished up this summer until a true excessive need occurs. But know its not even on the list, as this would return ZERO premium seating.

Make a riser just as you have sketched, add some landscaping, picnic tables...more of a family type gathering place or atmosphere.

Not after dumping all that $ in the MooTube. Plus as stated earlier. The endzone can be set up for luxury seeting or a club level (circa OM) unlike the south endzone. More room for ROI in the North endzone

Posts: 2879 06/24/09 08:54 AM One Call, That's All Best Ambulance Chaser of all time..OF ALL TIME!!	first, the club seating is obviously a priority, but converting the m-club into club seating wouldn't work like you are picturing it, because what do you then do with the m-club? it does seem like a great fit - because the windows and open indoor area are already in place. second, like scooba said, there's just not that much room between the field and the stands. which isn't a terrible idea, but here it looks a little too close. finally, i don't think this expansion would add the amount of seating and premium seating that we'll be looking for when we expand. great job in MSPaint. i really like the idea of having a tunnel for us to run through. it just seems more practical, at this point, to horseshoe the north endzone first. also, those premium seats would be directly aimed at the mootube, instead of away. i do like the idea, though.

Posts: 2662 06/24/09 02:50 PM	I truth fully feel like by the time we need any more than a solid NICE bleacher expansion, such as i stated (and would be needed while the North endzone was being constructed), in the south endzone it will be more than time to take a long hard look at doing something with the Turner fieldhouse and M-Club. It already has been "fixed" several times..including the M-Club being built on top of the turner fieldhouse, and I would not cry to see it knocked down and started over in 10-15 years. I like the design, but would love for it to be larger, upgraded and built more into the stadium to ultimly allow the FULL stadium bowl to be completed someday. Long term, our beautiful new Dawgzillatron, will get old much look all video boards do, if we get 10-15 years out of it would be wonderful.

That marron thing isn't chairback seating, its a roof. There could be premium concessions here, flat screens, etc. Also provides the ever-important tunnel for the team.

People who to eat or drink and do things doing a game pay a preminum to do such things in the club level and skyboxes. No way we cheapen those rights with a LFL for football. Left Field Lounge works for baseball because of the environment and game. It works for football too, but not at the game. It's called tailgating...and it stays in the junction.
