Particulary in the northern part of the state. I have heard alot about Aberdeen but never been there.

The water is way down now so they can put in a new pier. Hit the channels with t-rigged red shad or tequila culprit. Drag it across the bottom. There's
another hole out there hardly anyone goes to. Caught 16 last Sunday afternoon.
I used to fish Desoto in Clarksdale when the river got low this time of year. It would create runoff springs in to the lake where the bass would school feeding. Hit that one spot and easily catch 10 bass before noon. Since they put the weir in, I don't know. Haven't been back. You might could find similar spots on any river or river fed lake. There are a couple of private lakes that are good - Waverly and Land O Lakes.

They are all off shore now on the ledges except for some frog fishing early but you can't get to those without a boat.

Seems the Bass population is pretty low right now.
Oh yeah, while I'm at it, the new life jacket rule at Grenada, Enid, Sardis and Arkabutla, is a bitch! Especially for boats under 16 ft. Must have a vest on at all times. You say, we'll it doesn't affect me, but, wake up... If they can do it there...they can do it everywhere! When does this shit stop? This is supposed to be a three year test, but if they like it .....Where do we go then? |

This is one of about 40 that my brother caught there 2 weeks ago on a 20 lb line one morning. I don't know much about fishing but reeling in a 45 lb fish
of any kind looks pretty fun to me
