Seriously, what moron decided to put a concrete barrier at a 90 degree angle to the track?
I never watch NASCAR and don't know squat about racing, but I know that was a bad idea. |

Maybe that was the entry to pit road. Mainly, it looks like an accident waiting to happen (and it happened). It appears there were some water-filled energy
dissipating barrels. Didn't help, though.
I know Jeff Gordon took a heckuva shot last year at a track. Bobby Labonte took one similar at Watkins Glen, but a lot less serious. |

Sombody slides off the track like that and narrowly missed a perpendicular shot (like that guy didn't) into a barrier - instead making a glancing blow just
beyond where the barrier was turned perpendicular to the track.
