his take on the whole situation was that it was time to fire Mal Moore. I thought this was interesting but he made a good point. He made the Nick Saban hire
but there has been a lot of negativity, other probations etc., during his tenure and overall the success level hasn't been there. So does this incident
mean that it is time for Alabama and Mal Moore to part ways?

about the situation (paraphrasing): no scholarships lost and no bowl bans means its nothing, next......
They won big last year, a year earlier than anyone expected, interest in the program is sky high, they now have a giant stadium that rivals any in the country....why fire him unless Saban says so?

It's an interesting point of view from an Alabama fan. They better make sure they don't get caught again or they are in for it. Overall though it's just a big joke. |

need to go on "Red Alert" regarding recruiting. The NCAA will be looking to shore up their "phony weak ass penalty" publicity as it
pertains to the Alabama and USC debacles, with issuing near death penalty for a smaller school in a big conference.

because to my mind, implicit in that thought is Alabama (or some other upper tier school) would be looking for a new, young, energetic and forward thinking
candidate for AD. It won't happen this year, and probably not the next year, but....it will happen. Someone will see the job done at State and contact
Byrne about an opening.
I just don't want to think about that. |
