Wonder if his Dad | #1 | ||

will kick the Reds manager's ass.
If it was Lou Piniella, that could be entertaining. "Because just being good kids who make good grades isn't good enough anymore."- John Cohen

Could be. The Reds have drafted Hamilton, Bowen and Shepherd. I think they also drafted Dixon last year.

I know a scout who needs to be fired.

I hope he comes back..... | #8

don't know what happened to him but I do remember Cohen bragging on him and saying he was our Friday starter. You never know, he may find his mojo and be
a decent pitcher next year.

Hardly... | #9 | ||

thats why there are 50 rounds..and the 40s are very much throw away.
They might just snag him...and if they do and he can return to form. Thats a great catch,. Ricky was the star of the fall, but something mentally or physically destroyed him this spring. He still has a good bit of potential. |

Didn't they draft him last year too? | #10

If Bowen had been right................. | #11
|
that would've given us a 3rd decent starter. Who knows? That might have given us a 5 or 6 game swing which would've been enough to get us in a
regional.

Bowen cost us our season... | #13

he has Friday night stuff and a 10 cent head...he needs to go
Stansbury is 17-44 against the top 25, and 51-82 overall against the top 50...I rest my case (numbers compliments of ScoobaDawg)

He will (and should) take the money and run.
But if he can't hack it with Cohen and the SEC, hell with midweek games, there's no way he'll handle professional ball. I hope he's earned his degree and makes a million bucks, but it won't be in baseball. |

You are correct | #16 | ||

about him costing us at least a winning season and probably a 3 seed at a Regional, but at the same time, we should never be in the position to have to rely on
one player so much in the first place. I think that pressure probably compounded his problems that much more.
I mean, you know shit happens. But you've got to be able to cover for it. I would be willing to bet that there is at least one player on every team in the NCAA that didn't live up to their expectations. Look at Ole Miss. They were counting on Barrett to be a weekend guy for them, and he struggled big time. Difference is, they were able to cover for it by moving Bittle there until he got hurt. And then Morgan and Goforth were able to cover for Bittle in the bullpen. We had to cover with Greg Houston. "Because just being good kids who make good grades isn't good enough anymore."- John Cohen
