Looks like MSU MBB may add a neutral site game against a high major opponent. A few details still to be worked out.http://twitter.com/stricklinMSU

Where would the neutral site be? | #21
|
Would it be a set up like the Cincy game "neutral site" last year?

We should go all out | #23 | ||

and play in the Mid-South Coliseum. Kick it old-school. Short shorts, fans throwing switchblades on the court, the whole deal.

They would have to watch out for falling ceiling tiles too. | #24
|
I was at a hockey game there about 10 years ago when ceiling tiles fell off during the game onto the ice. I don't understand why they havent imploded that
thing.

What's the deal with the Pyramid? | #27

It's not that old, right? Was it poorly constructed? I've never been inside it, but when Memphis still played there it looked decent on TV.

terrible place to watch anything, really. The upper-level is about 2 miles from the arena floor. The acoustics are terrible. They should have made two
levels out of it if it had been possible - a bottom level with a decent sized arena, and a top level for convention space or a hotel or something. Having the
entire thing open made it feel like you were in a giant cavern. FedExForum seats just as many people, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. It's
still a pretty neat landmark for the skyline. If they ever decide to do something with it, I hope it succeeds.

I believe Bass Pro Shop is still in the process of taking it. | #29
|
It's useless as an arena because of FedEx Forums no compete clause. There's not many days out of the year that it could be used as an arena because
there is always something going on at the Forum. Good riddance as an arena anyway. Terrible seats bad sight lines terrible acoustics for concerts and the
upper deck was 8 miles up in the air.

LSU
2007 2008 1. Total D- 1st 1. Total D- 9th 2. Scoring D- 2nd 2. Scoring D- 9th 3. Pass D- 4th 3. Pass D- 11th 4. TO Margin- 1st 4. TO Margin- 6th 5. INTS- 1st 5. INTS- 12th 6. Scoring O- 2nd 6. Scoring O- 4th LSU falls apart on defense, yet goes from 2nd to 4th in scoring offense and you are still trying to blame the QB? Really? How bout from 1st to 12th in Ints? How bout from 1st to 9th in total Defense? How bout 4th to 11th in pass defense? How bout 2nd to 9th in scoring defense? You really trying to blame the QB for all that drop in defense?
Stansbury is 17-44 against the top 25, and 51-82 overall against the top 50...I rest my case (numbers compliments of ScoobaDawg)

You fail to mention... | #37

LSU was 10th in completion % (worse than us!). 2nd in INT's thrown.
Their defense was the reason they sucked (for them) last year, but don't pretend like they had good QB play, either. They were terrible at QB until your lover The Hat finally put his best QB on the field in about game 10.

I didnt say Lee was a great QB... | #39
|
but they lost games because of their defense. Even with Lee at QB, they scored 38 on Jawja and still lost. They only dropped from 2nd to 4th in scoring, but
their defense dropped across the board
