A little side predition here- we score more special teams TDs next season than in the past 5 combined. I have no clue how many that would have to be.

Why was Torbush's defense so terrible at A&M? |

While I'm all excited about see our offense take the field, I'm less than thrilled about our defense. Particularly the secondary. Will Torbush pull
off some 90's type defenses or will we score 30 and still lose? Hopefully we'll all be surprised.

shit for talent (I am not saying we dont). He is certainly a question mark in my mind, but the guy has had good defenses more years than bad ones.

Yes. I can't remember what year it was, but Fred Reid had a KO return TD also. | #4 | ||

Pegues also had a PR for a TD against Jacksonville State in 2006. |

on TV. They said that A&M's defense was so small, they were essentially playing a dime defense every down. That's almost a direct quote from one of
the announcers.
"Because just being good kids who make good grades isn't good enough anymore."- John Cohen
"This league doesn't care how hard you try. This league cares about having real players who can perform certain skills. If you try to throw a fastball in and you miss the middle of the plate, the league doesn't care that you're a really good kid. The game says you better execute the pitch." - John Cohen |

Should also note that where the SEC is noted for defenses, the big 12 is known for high powered offense. Most good DCs would look stupid out there. I am not
attacking or defending torbush, just merely waiting to see. If he is close to Ellis Johnson then I will be satisfied.

I'd be surprised in some of those games if even the defensive coordinator was contributing at all to the on field coaching. Seeing how the Big 12's middle of the pack teams could still put up points at will on the bigger teams was what bothered me the most about watching their games. But I for damn sure would have rather watched a shoot out every weekend then the shit show that was going on every weekend in Starkville thanks to our coaching. |

I think if we do stink it up on defense we now have people in place that will not stand for it with no end in sight.

I know we don't have Bama's talent level.. | #10 | ||

..but his defenses at Bama were sick as <17>, and we don't exactly have chopped liver on defense.

"Carl Torbush is actually a pretty fair DC -- I think his firing is what undid Fran at A&M."
"Carl Torbush = former Mack Brown defensive coordinator. Other former Mackobrown DCs include Gene Chizik and Greg Robinson. Draw your own conclusions. Then try to figure out why everybody seems to think Will Muschamp is THE MAN." AA - hoping for Ellis Johnson part deaux
And I've been never been in your IPF, but I bet it's not nearly as impressive as my balls are. - Heydog
----- The Hump urinals are functional. I say the pissers at Scott Field should have his [LT] name and we could even add some alliteration - The Templeton Troughs. - dawgstudent ----- 9) If you knew that Rachel Ray, your creation (as we all are) was going to be on TV and be famous, why did you give her such a small rack? It's not that I gave her such a tiny set of tits, it's that I gave her a big booty and thick waist to match. Hey, I was drunk that weekend. I also created the I-49 traffic circle in Alexandria, LA, two members of Creed, and the McRib that weekend. Cut me some <17>ing slack. ----- "When Jerious came on his visit I told him I wanted to pass number 12 down to a talented player. I told him it was him and I told the coaches about it. At the time he wanted to get number 3. I told him, 'Look I am leaving and this number 12 is a number you can live up to.' I think he really lived up to it. I am very proud of him getting drafted this year and I hope he does some good things." - Dicenzo Miller |
