What the hell are the Griz going to do with the 2nd pick? I'm not sold on Thabeet or Rubio at the 2, but who else is worthy of a pick in that spot? Last
year we get Beasley and the year before Durant. After Griffin there really isn't a clear 2nd choice, and no one near the caliber or immediate impact
potential of the last 2 number 2 choices.

Thabeet would be the best pick I think | #2

Rebounding and interior defense. He could possibly compliment all the guards better. I don't see the need for a Ginobli-type guard, unless they just
think he'll be great.
Though maybe trading the pick for a player or a couple picks may work. But you're right, there is no clearcut number two this year.

His tarck record in the playoffs ain't so good, but he can still play.

and repeat myself. The NBA Draft Lottery is as authentic as pro wrestling. The Grizz will never, ever get the #1 pick.

Rubio | #7 | ||

Anybody who saw the kid play in the Olympics knows that he can be something special...draft him and then get Varnado or something next year.
I don't trust that Thabeet is going to be a dominant defensive player in the NBA. I think Gasol was decent and he has plenty of experience playing with Rubio which would help. |

If they draft Rubio, the average age of the team will hit negative years. They'll be popping out wombs to check into games.
Here are just a few of the key ingredients: dynamite, pole vaulting, laughing gas, choppers - can you see how incredible this is going to be? - hang gliding,
come on!

What I think might happen... | #12

Is the teams "bid" on who gets the top pick. Just a thought. Let's face it - if a team in LA goes from bad to good, you might get an
incremental lift in TV viewership of x. If a team in Memphis goes from bad to good, that incremental lift of viewers/fans will be less, because Memphis is
1/10 the size of LA. I wouldn't say it happens all the time, either. I mean, in years where you have 3 or 4 standout players, then it doesn't
necessarily matter who gets the top pick. In a year like this one, where there is one consensus top player, and a lot of question marks after him, well, I
just think having a "lottery" opens up the possibility for shenanigans.
Ask yourself this. Why on earth would you even consider having a lottery to determine who gets the top pick? If you truly wanted to balance the league, you would do it by record like every other sport. Can you imagine if the NFL did this, and the 0-16 Lions wound up with the 12th pick?
