First of all, why are the spring football and baseball game at the same time? That's quality MSU scheduling right there.
But since I'm given a choice, I would go to the football game, which I often find somewhat boring. But I do want to see some of the new players, see how Carroll looks and just enjoy football in general. I do like to watch the walk-ons, because those are guys that are kind of like me, and are living out a dream, and just want to be on the team. I admire people that follow their dreams and live them out. One thing I have learned to keep in mind is that for every good play we make, that means that someone else made a bad play. In other words- grain of salt. I remember after the 2001 spring game, I was about as wooly as you could get. Never mind that Hargro had seven drops, Dontae was pushing 275, it was muscle that was just a little jiggly, and he had all summer to lose the weight- nothing that lifting a couple of telephone poles wouldn't fix, and heck Curtis Kemp looked pretty good! Plus we had all those great JUCO studs from Arizona coming in along with Tommy Kelly. I couldn't wait for the Sugar Bowl. And then............THUD. |

They scheduled baseball and spring football games at the same time? Incredible. How stupid is our athletic department?

Not one person on the entire board agrees with what you are trying to prove. That alone should tell you something. It doesnt make you a genius and forward thinker, it makes you a dumbass. - BigErn to JR. "but its his baseball character, not personal." -- Peaches, Attorney-at-law. |

According to the MSU Website, a good source for information, the spring game is at 12 and baseball at 2.
"Tuberville has had one stellar season in his career and suddenly he talks like he is Knute Rockne, Bear Bryant and Bob Neyland all wrapped into one." - Paul Finebaum, November 1, 2005 "How is our program in shambles? We had the talent to be in a bowl game, or at least compete for it this year. The reason we didn't was coaching. If we make a halfway decent hire, we should be bowling in that guy's first year." - Ole Miss Sheep Rebel Bruiser, on the day they fired O (HDN was later confirmed to be more than a halfway decent hire) |

Yep...football scheduled from noon til 4....baseball from | #4
|
2 til 5 pm.
Simply amazing....just move the baseball game back til 4 or 5. "I tell my players that fans that yell at coaches and players are people with meaningless jobs and have people yelling at them all day, whether it's at work or it's their wives yelling at them. They take out their frustration on someone that can't respond to them." - Ron Polk |

But then we'd have to turn the lights on possibly | #5
|
and that would just cost way too much money.

Well I didn't go last year | #9
|
otherwise, I would have complained.
Nonetheless, it still stupid to schedule both at overlapping times. |

Unless Raycom is broadcasting our spring game, no way it is four hours. Who in their right mind would sit there for four hours? I have a hard enough time
sitting through three hours of Croomball in the fall when we are playing for real.

The estimate of 90 minutes is pretty accurate | #11

You could probably stay for the whole spring game and still make it to DNF for the first pitch.
