The ole miss baseball radio show on wednesday talked in depth about getting the elusive 20th SEC win in one season on their way to an overall SEC title only to see us take it away from them. They just can't ever pull through against us in baseball when everything is on the line. We have their number, and Cohen will dominate them every series in 2 years from now. Can't even take the series from us when we the worst pitching staff in the history of MSU baseball. Any chance of the rebels being a national seed was erased tonight. Props to Crosswhite. He stepped up for the first time all year. It does suck that we are #3 in league play in hitting and have zero pitching. I can't belive how big our bullpen stepped up these last 2 games. 17 ole miss baseball at least that's how we retards from Tchula feel.

SEC Champions - 1948, 1949, 1965, 1966, 1970, 1971, 1979, 1985, 1987, 1989. Only LSU and Alabama have more than 10. Florida also has 10.
We did pretty damn well, winning 7 SEC titles before we even started paying attention to baseball.

One of the worst arguments ever... | #23
I would love to win the SEC regular season, but I would rather get to Omaha and win that tournament. Are you saying you can't do one without the other. If you asked me I'd like to do both, which you had a good chance at, but you're 17ing team is blowing it. Of course, anyone would rather make Omaha out of the two, but yall had a chance to maybe do both if you could've just beaten one of the worst teams in the SEC. YOU=FAIL |

Obviously, a lot of your fans weren't alive or weren't paying attention prior to the 80s. Obviously some did, but you sure have a ton that don't
remember anything about what happened in college baseball prior to the 1980s.

Since Coach Bic doesn't ever compete for the SEC title anyway, maybe you can just petition the league to skip the regular season and just play the SECT and
Regionals "when it counts"? Because we all know that a team competing for the division and overall lead shouldn't be bothered having to
concentrate on a meaningless series against a team with a losing record, at home.

If we had not won an SEC title since 1977, I'd be sure to brush up on my history as well.

RebelBruiser wrote: It is true that MSU fans don't perpetually live in the past the way Ole Miss fans do. You see, we don't HAVE to remember everything that happened before the 80's because some good shit has actually happened to us since then. I realize that you guys have no choice but to adore the past. We just look back there every now and then for stats. It's just not a way of life to us the way it is for Ole Miss. So, now that we/you blew your chances for a outright SEC title you guys can move on to hoping and praying you make it to Omaha. Since you love history so much though let it be your guide and don't get your hopes up. After another sad ending to a good season you can move on to talking smack about how you will win the West and go to Atlanta. Hope springs eternal for the Rebs. |

You are the most ridiculous person on this board. You cannot be saying this seriously or actually believe it. You just can't be that stupid. Every
State baseball fan I know is fully aware of our tradition, which began long before The Cigar-Smoking Hobbit came to Starkville. Just because someone
wasn't alive prior to 1980 doesn't mean they aren't aware of the tradition we have.

Dear rebelbruiser, your most recent trip to Omaha was 1972. | #32
RebelBruiser wrote: We've been 4 times actually. For some reason a lot of MSU fans don't realize that though, because you didn't start paying attention to baseball until the 80s.Again, I would assume most/none of us were'nt even born yet. And unless you're 50 years old, you probably didn't start following your historic rebel franchise until the 80's either. Wait, I guess you actually sucked until the mid to late 90's. |

Obviously, a lot of your fans weren't alive or weren't paying attention prior to the 80s. Obviously some did, but you sure have a ton that don't remember anything about what happened in college baseball prior to the 1980s.I was alive prior to the 1980's. More to the point, I was on a college campus in Southern California in the late 1970's & got in a conversation with a guy about how he had just been in Omaha & watched MSU play in the 1979 CWS. So not only is your assertion that MSU people didn't pay attention to MSU baseball prior to 1980 bullshit, your ignorant belief nobody outside of the state of MS knew about MSU baseball is also bullshit. Your rebel idiots who constantly swarm this board are all real assholes. It's amazing how every one of you come here, make shit up out of thin air, & think nobody is going to call you on it.
