When I took Flick's class in the mid 70's, right after he started teaching, he was really big into Memphis R&B like Sam & Dave and Wilson
Pickett. His big line back then when we made a good speech was to jump up, throw his fist in the air and yell, "Shotgun! Shoot him when he runs!".
He lived in some cheesy apartments on 25 south near Academy Rd. and we were told we were welcome to call or come by and ask questions or get help with assignments any time EXCEPT from 12 to 1 on Saturdays because he would be watching Mid South Wrestling from Memphis and was NOT to be disturbed during that time. |

I always thought he was a first class jerk, and I am not even from Rankin County. Regardless, I don't really care about the guy's personality; I care
about his voice. And it sucked. Just another quality job by Greg Byrne -- giving us one less reason for people to laugh at us.
