Good luck today. I am 100% in your corner. Hope that there is some urgency for OUR Tigers.

Coach 34, LSU didn't lose that game b/c of a strong post presence | #21
|
in UNC. Hansbrough didn't beat LSU, but Ty Lawson and Ellington had a huge impact in that loss. Matchups are always a concern, but you are going to have
that in any tournament.

If you aren't in it to win the whole thing then | #22

why play in the NCAA tournament. I agree if you are a ND State fan you may think differently about that, but I am an LSU fan so I set the bar higher. I am
proud of the accompishments of this year's team - winning the regular season by 3 games after last year's dismal performance, and taking the top team
in the country down to the wire when I really didn't give the Tigers much of a shot in that game. I was proud of that. Yes, I am disappointed we lost
too...don't get me wrong.

So, basically you are saying seedings don't matter in the NCAA tournamant. Which any half-ass basketball fan knows is a load of shit.

It may have been your opinion for years, but if so your opinion is bullshit. | #24
|
You've said yourself that LSU could have gotten a #6 seed if it had won the SEC tournament. I've shown you earlier that #6 seeds are 119-95 and #8
seeds are 64-95 since the field expanded to 64 teams. It's inconceivable that a team shouldn't have some sense of urgency to play for a seed that
equates to almost twice as many NCAA tournament wins.

helps you win in the Tourney, then I guess we are done here.

Guys - ageree to disagree - enjoyed the conversation. | #27

I am ready to move on to a different topic, b/c the same arguements are being made over and over.

It's been a one-sided argument. | #28
|
Because you've never once in any of the threads about this come up with a half-way reasonable argument for your position. I also note that you've
twice not come up with a response to my posts showing you the tangible difference in NCAA tournament wins between a #6 seed and a #8 seed.

I'll respond to your last post | #30

Yes statistically you are correct. Bigger picture however, does it really matter if you are a 6 or 8 seed in winning the whole thing. Not really. Either you
are good or you're not.

I'm sure plenty of LSU fans would disagree with you | #31

that your 1986 and 2006 NCAA tournaments were failures. And I know this MSU fan would disagree with you that our 1995 and 1996 NCAA tournaments were failures.
