started for me knowing things were maybe bad outside when I was able to hear a couple of LOUD claps of thunder a few minutes apart. I thought that I should
not have been able to hear that inside a big bldg especially while a basketball game was going on.
Afte the roof started flapping like a flag, I really thought it may rip off any second. I had my sunroof on my car busted out, a huge dent on the trunk and hood and the ouside looked like it had been sandblasted. I'll never forget the whole weekend! |

Otherwise there could have been some people seriously injured. It sounded like a jet flying VERY low, until I looked up and saw the roof flapping, and then
when the hole was blown in the side of the Dome, debris went all over the place, and the speakers started to sway.

I am grateful to this day that Ben Hansborough couldn't play defense and let Michail Riley hit that three to send it into OT otherwise I would have been
outside in the smoking section when it hit.
Once we all realized it was a tornado, I was actually grateful, I didnt know what the hell it was I thought it was a bomb or terrorist attack or something, because when we went into the game it was perfectly sunny outside, I never realized bad weather was even in the area. |

One of those moments I will tell my kids.
My friend was sitting beside me when we heard the tornado coming through. Most of the Kentucky fans were sitting in the bleachers they had set up in the middle of the Georgia Dome (for basketball). When the tornado first came it sounded like the entire section was stomping on the bleachers. I looked at my friend and said "why are all those damn Kentucky fans stomping on the bleachers? They have not even played yet." Then it blew a hole in the side of the dome and I figured out what was going on. Crazy shit I will have to say.

I was sitting right behind the goal in the band and I heard that train noise. Im a meteorology major and knew there was gonna be bad weather so I kinda knew
what was going on, but not nearly to the effect of how bad it was. I will always be grateful to Mykail Riley for hitting that shot at the end of regulation
because where our buses parked was where the tornado ripped off part of the building and threw it to the ground. Theres a good chance that we could have been
seriously injured along with about 10,000 other people. Crazy crazy experience, but one that I will definately never forget.
