Wilson to TN, Campbell back in running for MSU RB Coach |
Lead | ||
|
At least we still might have a chance in getting Campbell from MGCC. I would think he would be better coach than Wilson, but recruiter not likely. Looks like
Stringer just got Recruiting Coordinator title again.

What's the word on how Campbell's interview with Auburn went? He's an AU alum so I have to think they would have the upper hand in getting him if
we both offered.
I'm not stubborn enough to say, 'This is our offense, this is what we're doing,' even if we don't have the personnel to run it.--Dan

These Kiffin's are obviously very confident in their coaching abilities | #2

Because they have a staff full of guys who can recruit, but can't coach a lick: Drayton - inept as a position coach Orgeron - inept at pretty much
everything except selling his line to 18 year olds Wilson - I don't think anybody has ever hired him for his coaching ability Thompson - Known more for his
recruiting skills more than his coaching ability Lance is so confident that this approach will work that he named his recently born son, Knox. It looks like to
me, he's following the Less Myles blueprint. And we all know what direction that approach has the empire Saban built headed.

No big loss for the Vols there | #4

Although I think Wilson is just like Drayton - big hat, no cattle.

And reports are they weren't too happy with the coaching they were getting from him, | #7
|
which is one reason they were so agreeable to let him just leave before the season was over.

From what I've been able to pick up | #8

I don't think he'll be missed in NO. The defensive line was not one of the team strengths this past season.

By all accounts, Wilson was a nice guy, very good recruiter, and lost as a coach. | #10

Your players would have liked him, but it is not clear he would have been able to help them once they got to campus.
