is anyone actually sold on the women's team doing anything this year? they've feasted on 8 high school teams. and louisiana tech is trash this year.
wake me up if they beat maryland.
stans is in no way on any kind of hot seat whatsoever and he shouldn't be. the team is loaded with freshmen and sophmores. what do people expect? the fab 5? newsflash, one loss doesn't ruin a season in college basketball, especially an out of conference loss. sure it would be nice to have jamont back, but thats the hand we've been dealt. and this team can and should be back in the tourney by next year (and in the nit this year). we loss today because of the last 4 minutes of the first half. state played really well for the other 36 minutes. it wasn't an ugly loss is what i'm trying to say. maybe we can continue this conversation when we lose in the 2nd round in the ncaa's again. not now. |

but the way they are feasting on these teams is what raises eyebrows. We never beat crap teams by 72 points when we had two No. 1 draft picks. Granted, those seasons with LaToya and Tan make me think that Fanning is the worst coach we have on campus, but its interesting to watch. If they beat Maryland, the tittydawgs might be worth keeping on the radar for a little while longer. |
