Brett the Jet to the Pro Bowl....Good call Green Bay |

Look who is laughing now. You turn your back on a future hall of famer who is the top 5 QB's of all time for a mediocre, non athletic loser like Aaron
Rodgers. Way to go.....
Have fun watching Brett in the playoffs. |

The fallacy of causation.. | #21
bonedaddy401 wrote:Just because something happened subsequent to something else, doesn't necessarily mean it happened because of that event. The Jets aren't where they are because of Brett Favre. If you believe that, you haven't watched any of their games this year. The Jets are what they are because their defense has improved a lot and Thomas Jones (steady running game) and Leon Washington (big play threat) are playing lights out. Most Sundays Favre is an average NFL QB. Last 3 games he has been bad (QB rating in the 60s).. they've lost 2 and only stupidity by the Buffalo coaching staff kept them from losing 3 in a row. |

Favre' farewell tour was longer than Cher's. | #22

How many seasons had to end with Favre crying like a baby....only to change his mind 6 weeks later?
I don't blame the Packers at all for looking out for the future of the franchise. |

Most everyone knew Favre would come back. Last year was to much fun for him. If communications had been left open, none of this would've happen. I fully blame Thompson for this, and now he can sit home and watch the Jets play in the playoffs, while he makes excuses for why the Packers are sittting home. If Favre wasn't the QB of the Jets, do u really think they would be where they are right now? |

Even after he "retired"... | #24

they gave him another opportunity to come back and he basically said "no thanks.. I'm really done this time".. so they went on without him. Then
later on he decides he wants to come back. You can't go into OTAs not knowing who your QBs will be.. nevermind that they used 2 draft picks on QBs.

If Farve was playing for the Packers they would be right where they are now | #25

Contrary to the popular opinion of a select few, the position of QB doesn't win and lose games all by itself. It's also utterly ridiculous to say that
a QB with worse stats would have made the team that much better.

The Jets would have the same result with Rodgers | #29

Some people discussing this topic should look at what the Jets added besides Favre. A great offensive line and defensive players to boot. Rodgers has done
nothing at all to contribute to the bad season the Packers are having. He's put up numbers as a quarterback that should have resulted in wins, but the
defense is just not there. Injuries to linebackers and inconsistent play in the secondary have killed them. I have been a huge Favre supporter throughout the
years, but in the latter years of his career with Green Bay, it really got old to hear him straddle the fence each year and keep the team in limbo. Hard
decision for a team to make, but they made the better pick for the long run. I think Rodgers will be a very good QB. Green Bay needs to make good offseason
moves in the secondary and offensive line department.

Brett did the right thing | #30

He went to the team that wanted him to play. The Packers wanted to move on and its not his fault that they decided to do this before he decided to come
back. The Packers were idiots for not wanting him to come back and I guess its a little bit of both sides at fault.
