As a result, I've been to the Doe's in Oxford and the one that was once in Tupelo. I can only presume the continued track of franchise failures has something to do with lack of brand oversight. Never made it to the one in Starkville, but evidently it shared the same problem.

Doe's in Greenville, without launching into a sermon, has a lot of history and character, and the folks who work there have typically been in their jobs for many, many years. I don't know the...

I lived in LR for about 3 years and we would go at least once a month. totally different atmosphere and quality of food than the one here in S'ville. The Little Rock site was great...

Doe's in Greenville survives off of the family establishing a client base and keeping those same type of people coming. They are a good family, involved in the community, and people like to support that; the entire family works or has worked there, so that adds to it. I personally really like the one in Greenville, but I know the family so I'm biased. It's packed any night you go.

They're known almost as much for their hot tamales as they are steaks locally, but even...

original is the atmosphere as well as the food...provided you enjoy an atmosphere that is often times raucus and involves you either eating in the kitchen or walking through it on your way to your table on a floor that has the characteristics of a rollercoaster. Oh, and you can get killed in that area of town also. It's really just a good time all the way around. Isn't there one in Oxford and maybe Memphis ? I'm not sure but I would love to hear a report on those.
