Neshoba County nearly had to file a lawsuit against them after they renovated the courthouse. Damn thing kept leaking and ruined much of the drywall and woodwork. After NC investigated it was a design flaw that didn't allow for proper roof drainage. Same thing happened with the library renovation there. their 17 ups cost the county lot of extra cash.

I don't know for sure but i'd guess Jesco will end up winning the bid. They just did the academic building and win a lot of bids involving State athletics.

The university administration at the time deserves every bit of the blame for the monstrosity that is the Henry Hunter Center. I understand Henry Hunter dangled millions of dollars in front of us with strings attached and we really needed a new alumni space, but at some point you have to draw the line on how far you're willing to whore yourself out for the lead gift on a project. There is a reason most universities have standards for the exterior appearance and finish for any building...

foil wyatt's shit all looks the same... anybody that had a hand in designing that spaceship we have for an alumni center ought to be banned from campus.. although hunter henry himself preferred the futuristic design..

This isn't a design-build contract. As such, the design was not included in the bids opened today. As someone said, Foil Wyatt is the architect. The GC selected will be responsible for construction and, I assume, project management.

design costs, materials, associated labor, subcontractors, mgmt costs, admin costs, other expenses

I worked for a company that had in house designers, but also had the capability to hire and manage the all the other required contractors, which goes back to my original post, since I know they could handle this project .. did they bid on it? They could have landed the project, but still hire a GC from mississippi, which is likely ... if it's all setup that way.
