They have a great thing going up there. Moving outta the Dome will help the atmosphere a TON! And yes, having great views of both the city skyline and campus is worthwhile. No for the second part. I would advocate still playing at Scott Field while construction is going on as opposed to playing in Jackson. MSU (Main Center Board) is 111' x 47' = 5217

Furthermore when you compare Total Scoreboard size of ours you get this.
UT divides the main board into Ads and Stats. MSU has separate HD boards for that. From the MSU Davis-Wade Stadium page..
